- What is exchange rate?

Exchange rate is the exchange ratio of one currency to another.

- How to buy or sell currency?

The purchase or sale of currency can be made to face international travel expenses (cash) or to send or receive funds by transfer. Currently, exchange transactions can be freely contracted with an institution authorized by the Central Bank, subject to compliance with the principles of legal reasoning and financial standing.

- Is there a maximum amount to buy or sell currency?

There is no maximum limit to buy or sell currency; however, during the transaction, both the financial standing and the source of resources must be substantiated.

- Can anyone buy or sell currency?

Yes, even those younger than 16 years old, provided that duly represented by their legal representatives.

- What documents should I have in order to buy currency?

The documents to be submitted depend on the type and amount of the transaction; however, in all cases, at least RG, CPF and proof of address will be requested.

- Why should I keep the proof of transaction?

The proof of transaction is the document that guarantees the legality and origin of the transaction.

- How to pay for a transaction?

The transaction can be paid for by cash, check or bank transfers, provided that for values from BRL 10,000.00 (ten thousand Brazilian Reais) payment must be by bank transfer.

- How does the VTM card work?

It is an international prepaid card, a handy way to carry foreign currency. You can credit it with dollar or euro, depending on your card choice, make withdrawals or make purchases in the local currency of the country, which is carried out by entering a password received by the customer at the time of purchasing the card.

- How do I know the balance on my card?

The exchange transaction intermediation services of BEXS are offered to customers whose transactions exceed US$ 50,000.00 (fifty thousand dollars) or the equivalent in other currencies, and where required by the Central Bank of Brazil on the grounds of the transaction nature.

- When should I use the import, export and financial exchange services of BEXS?

The BEXS Corretora de Câmbio is authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil to contract transactions of up to US$ 50,000.00 (fifty thousand dollars) or the equivalent in other currencies. Thus, in addition to the financial exchange, often used for payments of services or unilateral transfers, import and export transactions, provided that in compliance with the transaction limit, can be performed directly by BEXS.
